Terms of Use
Who can use Little Paws
These terms are an agreement between you and Beauty and Bytes, LLC, which makes Little Paws. You must be 18 or older to use Little Paws. Its AI features rely on a provider that may only be used by adults, and the app is not directed to children.
A journal, not a vet
Little Paws helps you keep notes about your pet and prepare for vet visits. It does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment. AI descriptions and summaries describe what is visible or restate what you or your vet wrote; they can be incomplete or wrong. Always follow your veterinarian's advice.
Emergencies
If you think your pet needs urgent care, contact your vet or an emergency animal hospital right away. Emergency warnings in the app are triggered by certain words and AI flags. They can miss real emergencies and can show when nothing is wrong, so never wait for a warning.
Your journal
Your entries, photos, visits and reminders belong to you and are stored on your iPhone. You are responsible for keeping backups, for example through iCloud, computer backups or Back up to a file. Deleting the app or using Delete everything removes the journal from this iPhone.
Photos and AI features
AI features are for photos of pets and other animals and for your own pet-care notes. A person may appear with the animal, for example holding it, but don't add photos that are mainly of people, or anything unlawful, sexual or violent, or that you don't have the right to share. Photos without an animal are turned away. AI requests are processed by a third-party AI provider through the Little Paws service and are subject to fair-use limits.
Free and Pro
The free plan includes one pet and five AI analyses in total. Little Paws Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly through your Apple Account. It renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple. If Pro ends, your journal stays and the free plan's limits apply again. Purchases are also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Fair use
Don't misuse the app or its AI service, for example by trying to get around plan limits, overloading the service or sending content meant to make the AI break these rules.
Ending your use
You can stop using Little Paws at any time by deleting the app; cancel Pro in your Apple Account settings so it doesn't renew. We may suspend or end access to AI features if these terms are broken, or to protect the service and other people. We may change or stop offering features; if a Pro feature you pay for is removed, we'll tell you in the app, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
No warranty
Little Paws is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, including that the app or its AI will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Beauty and Bytes, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for decisions made using the app, including about your pet's health, or for data lost from your device. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Little Paws Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or rights you have under consumer protection laws where you live.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be decided by the state or federal courts in Santa Clara County, California. If you are a consumer living somewhere whose laws give you the right to use your local law or bring a claim in your local courts, such as the EU or UK, you keep that right. Before going to court, please email us so we can try to resolve the issue.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes, we'll give notice in the app or on our website before they take effect. If you don't agree with an update, you can stop using Little Paws and cancel Pro.
